Robot Unit Components and Motion Direction

The figure below shows the names of the components of the robot unit and the rotation direction of each axis.

  • UL-listed models have Motor-ON lamps on the back.
  • Be sure not to hold the part of Motor-ON lamps at the time of transporting, installation, and/or adjusting. That may cause a breakage.
  • In the bellow type, dust- & splash-proof type, cleanroom type, H1 grease type ,there are some areas where the base interferes with the bellows. Be sure there is no interference between them before the use. If interfered, the paint of the base will be removed and the bellows may break.
  • Bellows type is not a leak-proof structure.
  • If any axes do not move, or move but only a little, the oil coating on the bearing of axes may not be formed sufficiently, it could leading to the early wear off.
To prevent early wear-off of bearings, move the target axes in sufficiently large angle for more than a few times a day.
  • If any customer-prepared parts (end effector, air piping for the end effector) are installed in the robot unit, depending on the installation, it might hit the robot body when you fold the robot arm up. Pay attention when you perform teaching.
