Activation Authority
The activation authority specifies a device to be activated. The activation refers to the following two operations:
- Activating the robot program
- Turning the motor on
| Setting | Equipments supported for automatic operation |
|---|---|
| Any | Any equipment |
| TP | Teach pendant and mini-pendant |
| I/O | Computer, PLC, etc. |
| Ethernet | Computer, PLC, etc. |
The factory default is "I/O." To activate a robot program using, for example, a teach pendant, set the activation authority to "TP."
If the activation authority is set to "Any," the control of automatic operation from any equipment is possible. Take necessary precautions for safety (e.g., only let one equipment run in automatic operation at one time) when using this setting.
