Rack Pitch Adjustment
Connecting racks with the end faces in close contact with each other makes the pitch between the teeth in the connecting part too small which may cause a trouble.
Use a counterpart rack in the connecting part to adjust the pitch between teeth.
Adjustment Procedure
Use the following counterpart rack to make adjustment.

Check that the gap between rails is 1 mm or less.

While referring to the fixed rack of the rail unit as a guide, use a counterpart rack to adjust the pitch with the rack to be adjusted.
This is the end of rack pitch adjustment.
After adjustment, bring them into close contact using a small clamp, and fix the rail unit to the connecting plate. For details about fixing, refer to STEP 9 in "Robot Installation Procedure(PDF: 544 KB)".
