About Providers
What are Providers?
With the RC8 controller, ORiN2-compliant add-ins are used, enabling external devices to be used with a common interface specification. These add-ins are known as Providers. To control the generation and/or delete of a provider, use Cao object or gCao object, which are embedded object.
- What is ORiN2?

ORiN stands for “Open Resource interface for the Network” or “Open Robot interface for the Network”, and is standardized technology used to access equipment from application software. This technology is promoted by Japan's ORiN Forum for the popularization of ORiN2 and promotion of functional improvement activities. Refer to the ORiN Forum website for details.
Provider Types
The following providers can be used with the RC8 controller.
Refer to the respective instruction manual of each provider for details of specifications and commands.
Refer to "Standard Use" for details on the description method for PacScript.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming is helpful for using providers.
With regards to Object, refer to "Object" on the "Programmer's Manual".
For more details, please refer to the programming language manual for VB (Visual Basic) and so on.
