Installation Precautions
About Primary Power Source
Observe the following precautions when wiring the primary power source of the robot controller:
- Use the correct power source for the controller specification.
- It is AC 200V. If the power transformer box is selected as an option, it is AC 400V. There is no single-phase. All the power source is three-phase.
- Connect the robot power cable to a power source separate from the welder power source.
Protective Grounding
Before connecting the power cable, make sure to ground the green/yellow wire of 5.5 mm2 or more to the earth terminal of the right side of the housing. If you disconnect the grounding wire connected to the earth terminal (protective grounding) of the right side of the housing, make sure to disconnect the power cable beforehand.
Installation Height
The main disconnect switch of the robot controller must be positioned at a height that allows operators to easily use it.
When installing the robot controller, make sure that its main disconnect switch is positioned at a height of 170 to 60 cm from the servicing level.
Servicing level refers to the surface on which robot operators stand.
The distance between the robot controller installation surface and the main disconnect switch depends on whether the power transformer box (option) is used or not. Refer to the image below.

Other Precautions
Do not bundle the smart TP cable or I/O cables together with high power lines such as power cables and peripheral device cables, or route the motor cables near other high power devices (such as motor, welder, parts feeder) in equipment.
