Environmental Conditions of Installation Site

The following shows environmental conditions of installation site of VMB series robots.

In storage or during transportation: -10 to 60℃

Humidity

In operation: 20 to 90% RH (No dew condensation is allowed.)

In storage or during transportation: 40 to 75% RH (No dew condensation allowed.)

Altitude

In operation : 1,000 m or lower.

Safe installation environment

Working space

Sufficient service space must be available for inspection and disassembly.

Grounding conditions

Grounding resistance (protective ground): 100Ω or less

If the power transformer box is used, the grounding resistance (protective ground) shall be 10Ω orless.

Environmental conditions

Use the following recommended cutting oils as needed.

Recommended cutting oils
YUSHIROKEN EC50T-3, concentration 5% (water-soluble cutting fluid manufactured by YUSHIRO CHEMICAL INDUSTRY CO., LTD.)
YUSHIRON CUT ABAS KM315A (water-insoluble cutting oil manufactured by YUSHIRO CHEMICAL INDUSTRY CO., LTD.)

Do not install the robot in:

Flammable or explosive atmosphere;
Corrosive atmosphere caused by acidic or alkaline materials;
Place where it might be submerged in fluid;
Atmosphere with metallic dust or tiny shavings scattering in the air;
Misty atmosphere caused by sulfur-containing cutting or grinding fluid; or
Atmosphere caused by cutting oil other than the recommended oils mentioned above.
