Stopping Time and Distance (Angle) at an Emergency Stop
If the robot is stopped while moving by pressing the emergency stop button, the stopping time and stopping distance (angle) for the main three axes vary depending on the robot speed as shown in the following graphs. The stopping time and distance (angle) are defined as the time and distance (angle) required until the robot moving with its arm extended stops after a stop signal is issued. The payload conditions are 33%, 66%, and 100% of the maximum payload.
Acceleration varies depending on the payload setting. The values in the graphs are the values when the stopping time/distance reaches the maximum.
The stopping time and stopping distance at an emergency stop differ between robots. Visit the link for a robot to use.
