Encoder Specification
The below table shows the specifications of the encoder.
Be sure to read the INSTRUCTION Sheet enclosed in the package.
Specification
Item | Specifications |
---|---|
Part No. | 410010-752* |
Model | E6B2-CWZ1X (OMRON) |
Type | Incremental |
Supply voltage | 5 VDC(±5 %) |
Current consumption | 160 mA max. |
Output circuit configuration | Line driver output |
Output phase | |
Maximum response frequency | 100 kHz |
Slewing speed | 6000 r/min |

Shaft loading | Radial:30 N, Axial:20 N |
Dust & splash proof | IP50 |
Ambient temperature | -10 ℃ to +70 ℃ |
Ambient humidity | 35 % to 85 % RH |
Note 1: The number of pulses is multiplied by 4, so the count value is 4000 pulses/revolution.
Note 2: Since this equipment is neither dust-proof nor drip-proof, protect it with a cover or something if used in an adverse environment.
Note 3: Protect the encoder connectors by putting covers on them after installation.
Appearance Diagram and Dimensional Outline Drawing
For information about how to install the encoder, see OMRON's website.
If an error message "Execute CALSET" is displayed at the start-up of the controller, perform CALSET.
For information about the CALSET procedure, see "Executing CALSET" in the "EXTENDED-JOINT MANUAL".
Encoder Cable
To connect the encoder with the encoder hub, use a dedicated encoder cable (cable for RC8-OMRON encoder).
The length of cables are 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 4 m, 6 m and 12 m. The encoder junction cable is the same as the one used for the extended-joint support controller. For details, see "Options for Robot Controller" of "OPTIONAL COMPONENTS".
- Incorrect connection of the extended-joint or encoder may cause malfunction.
- The total length of an encoder cable for each axis between a connection port of the encoder hub and a connection port of the motor shall be 16 m or less.
- The bending radius for the encoder cable and encoder relay cable should be 12.5 mm or more for the fixed cable, and 83 mm or more for the movable cable. Excessive bending will damage the cable.
