Replacement of Cableveyor

This page contains a description of replacing a cableveyor when it is broken or worn out.

Split and reconnect a cableveyor where replacement is needed according to the procedure shown below.

"Cableveyor" is a registered trademark of Tsubakimoto Chain Co., Ltd. This replacement method is quoted from the instruction manual issued by the said company.

Splitting of Cableveyor

1

Open the two arms at the splitting position.

Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into a gap between the arm edge and the link at the opening-closing side, turn the screwdriver to the right and left to open the two arms.

2

Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into a gap between links as shown in the figure below, pull the screwdriver toward yourself, and remove the pin from the hole.

3

Using the other pin as a pivot, bend the cableveyor into a dogleg shape to split it.

Reconnection of Cableveyor

1

Replace the worn link with a spare part. Align the split cableveyors with the arms open at the reconnecting position.

2

With the links overlapped, insert a pin into a hole on one side.

3

Insert another pin into a hole on the other side.

4

Either press the arm edge by hand or hit it with a plastic hammer until an audible click is heard.

This is the end of cableveyor replacement.

After an arm is removed, the open and close directions can be changed.

With the arm raised to 90 degrees, move it sideways (arrow directions) to remove and install it.

When installing an arm, hold it with the inscribed side facing outward and attach it to the link.
