1 Robot base mounting bolts OFF Measure the tightening torque with a torque wrench. No looseness.
Specified torque:317 ±63 Nm
Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
2 Cooling fan filters in the robot controller OFF Visually No dust or dirt. Clean the cooling fan filters.
3 Brake performance ON Execute the CheckBrake command. No error. Inspect or repair.

Cleaning the Cooling Fan Filter in the Robot Controller

The controller has the intake port filter.

Clogging the filter may be subject to insufficient cooling of inside of the robot controller which may result in malfunction of internal electronic components due to heat.

Inspect and clean the filter periodically.

Follow the procedure described below to clean the filter.

Turn off the circuit breaker (main disconnecting switch) of the robot controller.

Remove the filter cover at the front of the robot controller.

Filter cover is fixed by the detent in two places. Make sure not to damage the detent.

Clean the filter with blowing air. Blow the air in the opposite direction of normal air flow.

Cleaning air must be de-humidified and de-oiled clean one.

Heavy stain of the filter should be washed by water or lukewarm water (40 degree or lower). Using neutral detergent may help further clean wash.

  • Thoroughly dry the filter before assembling it.
  • Replace the filter with new one when it does not become clean with air blow and water wash.
