Limiting the Motion Range
Outline of Limiting the Motion Range
To prevent the collision with peripheral devices or entanglement of the end-effector wiring and piping, limit the motion range as needed.
To limit the motion range, use the mechanical ends that physically limits the motion range and Software Limit Setting that limits the motion range by software together.
When changing the mechanical ends, also change the software motion limits so that it is within the motion range.
VLA series robots allow you to change the mechanical ends of the 1st and 2nd axes.
Precautions When Changing the Mechanical Ends
- If you change the mechanical ends using the mechanical stoppers, be sure to change the software motion limits to prevent the robot arm from coming into contact with the mechanical stoppers when the robot runs.
- If the robot collides with the mechanical stoppers, the robot may be damaged. Before use, contact DENSO service representatives for inspection and repair.
- The robot failures resulting from continued use after the robot collides with the mechanical stoppers shall not be covered by the warranty.
