Preliminary Requirements for Floor Mounting

Prepare the robot fixing plate or mount to install between the robot base and the concrete surface.

As an option, we provide the robot fixing plate for floor mounting.

Conditions of Robot Fixing Plate

If the robot fixing plate is prepared by customer, the robot fixing plate should meet the following conditions.

  • Flatness of the robot fixing plate is 0.2 mm or less.
  • Levelness of the robot fixing plate is ±0.5 mm/1000 or less.
  • Steel materials are used.
  • It has rigidity that can withstand "Maximum Reaction Force for Floor Mounting".
  • Prepare holes for dowel pins and taps for robot fixing bolts which are necessary to fix the robot as shown in the figure below.

Conditions of the Mount to Install the Robot

Prepare the mount to install the robot so that it will satisfy the following conditions.

Materials of the mount
0.1/500mm
Materials of the mount
Use steel materials.
Rigidity of the mount

It has rigidity that can withstand "Maximum Reaction Force Applied to Robot Installation Surface."

Robot Mount Example for Floor-mount Type

  1. When the robot operates at high speed, the robot mount undergoes large reaction forces. The mount must be rigid enough so that it will not vibrate or be displaced due to reaction forces. It is also advisable to mechanically join the robot mount with heavy equipment.
  2. Some mounts may produce a resonance sound (howling). If this sound is loud, increase the rigidity of the mount or slightly modify the robot speed.

Maximum Reaction Force Applied to Robot Installation Surface

The following shows the maximum reaction force generated on the robot installation surface when the robot moves.
Design/Install the mount and the robot fixing plate so that it can withstand the following maximum reaction force.

Some mounts may produce a resonance sound (howling) while the robot is running. If this sound is loud, increase the rigidity of the mount or slightly modify the robot speed.

Overturning moment Ml 4060 Nm
Torsional moment Mt 1640 Nm
Horizontal translational force Fh 4160 N
Vertical translational force Fv 4180 N
Direction of reaction force
