I/O options

Type of I/O options

For I/O options, there are the digital output terminal and the field network slave terminal and so on.

To use I/O options, you need to set various settings.

Various settings are to be performed by WINCAPSIII or XAE (IPC developing environment), but some I/O options cannot be set by WINCAPSIII.

  • I/O Options Available to Set by WINCAPSIII
    • Digital output terminal
    • Digital input terminal
    • Digital input/output terminal
    • Field network slave terminal
    • Serial communication terminal
  • Main I/O options required XAE
    • Field network master terminal
    • IO-Link master

Connecting method

To connect I/O options to the MC9 series controller, use the EtherCAT coupler terminal.

Also, the MC9 series controller can equip I/O options, but the number of I/O options available to equip is limited. If it exceeds the limit number, install those I/O options outside the MC9 series controller and connect them to MC9 series controller through the EtherCAT coupler terminal.
