System Construction Procedure

This section shows the configuration procedure of DeviceNet system. This procedure assumes the condition that DeviceNet master board has been installed beforehand.

Configure the system

Connect the master board and slave devices with the DeviceNet dedicated cable in reference to the system configuration sample shown above. More details about configuration, see System Configuration and Configurators.

Make sure that the power supply for communications remains turned off at this stage.

Activate the communication between the robot controller and DeviceNet master board, and between DeviceNet master board and slave devices. For communication between the robot controller and DeviceNet master board, use SYCOM.net that is dedicated software shipped with the Manual pack disc.

Check the DeviceNet connection.

Turn on each devices to check connection and operation.
