General Information

Command-Slave is a function that controls a robot with PLC programming language by connecting ProConOS-installed PLC (ProConOS is a software PLC manufactured by PHOENIX CONTACT) and an RC8 series robot controller through a field network.

Using command-slave enables you to program robot motion with "MULTIPROG", which is PHOENIX CONTACT software, without operating multiple application.

Command-Slave function for ProConOS supports MULTIPROG version 5.35 and version 5.50.

Version 5.35 and version 5.50 has different MULTIPROG window layout though, the setting procedures are the same. The following explanation uses the screen images of version 5.50.

Also, the basic operation method of function blocks are the same in both versions. However, when you use MULTIPROG version 5.35, you cannot configure the initial values if the data type of the variable is either the structured type data or array type. If this entry is omitted, "0" will be entered automatically for all variables. In DENSO-provided structure data, if you want to enter the same initial values as that of used in version 5.50, you need to use a FB for the initial value configuration.
