Precautions on Battery during Wi-Fi Connection
The following precautions are applicable to the battery when connecting with COBOTTA via Wi-Fi by using Virtual TP, Remote TP or Cobotta World ("Wi-Fi capable app" hereafter).
Note that a PC or tablet with the Wi-Fi capable app installed is referred to as an "operation terminal".
- Remaining battery capacity of an operation terminal
-
If the remaining battery capacity of an operation terminal becomes less than the permissible level, the Wi-Fi capable app indicates a warning message.
If the operation terminal remains in use and the battery capacity reaches the lowest level, the Wi-Fi capable app disconnects the Wi-Fi communication and shows a message describing the situation.
In this case the network setting of the operation terminal itself is disabled.
To establish the Wi-Fi connection with COBOTTA, the network setting of the operation terminal itself needs to be enabled first.
If the remaining battery capacity of an operation terminal becomes less than the permissible level, recharge the operation terminal.
- Operation terminal battery degradation
-
If the operation terminal battery deteriorates, the frequency of a low battery level or Wi-Fi disconnection warning message generated by the Wi-Fi capable app increases.
The operation terminal may also abruptly shut down in some cases.
If the operation terminal shuts down before the Wi-Fi capable app indicates the Wi-Fi disconnection warning message, COBOTTA generates an error (level 4) showing that a malfunction occurred in the communication with the operation terminal.
When symptoms of the battery degradation start to appear, repair the operation terminal battery.
