Connecting LAN

Connect LAN cable to LAN connector.

Use shielded LAN cable with length shorter than 30 cm.

Perform communication setting with teach pendant when communicate with LAN port. Refer to the "Displaying and Changing Communication Settings Screen " of TEACH PENDANT OPERATION GUIDE.

When connecting USB of the controller, Ethernet, RS-232C connector to the commercial devices, additional measures against noise, such as ferrite core and others, could be required depending on the condition. Please check your operation environment. We do not guarantee performance and maintenance of the connection with commercial devices.

For HSR/ HSA1 Series Robots

For HSR and HSA1 series robots (except UL-listed models), the motor & encoder cable is available in two types: the new type and the old type. Whether the cable will be shipped with a ferrite core depends on the cable length you choose. The new type cable 4 m or longer and the old type cable 12 m or longer will be shipped with a ferrite core.

If you choose a new type motor & encoder cable 4 m or longer, place the provided ferrite core on two turns of the LAN cable.

If you choose an old type motor & encoder cable 12 m or longer, place the provided ferrite core on two turns of the LAN cable.
