Maintenance & Inspection Intervals and Purposes

Carry out the maintenance and inspection jobs listed in the table below.

Maintenance and inspection must be carried out by a trained worker who possesses the ability to perform these tasks safely. Before performing maintenance and inspection jobs, read the SAFETY PRECAUTIONS,"Precautions while Robot is Running" and "Daily and Periodical Inspections".

No. Intervals Needed:
1 Daily before starting operations To use your robot safely.
2 Quarterly To maintain the precision of the robot and to prevent failures caused by overheat of the robot controller.
3 Semiyearly To check the rotary sections and slideways of the robot and its controller for wear, preventing seizure, breakage, and other serious failures that could result from wear.
4 Biennial To retain the position data stored in the electronic absolute encoder built in the robot unit.
Replace backup batteries as specified in every two years.
