EtherNet/IP Slave Terminal
This section describes the device specification and installation methods of EtherNet/IP slave terminal which is available as an optional function for the RC9 series robot controller.
Overview
Mounting an EtherNet/IP slave terminal in the robot controller enables the controller to communicate with external devices according to the EtherNet/IP-compliant protocol. The robot controller may easily exchange I/O data with EtherNet/IP-compliant Network devices.
Operating Environment
To use a EtherNet/IP slave terminal, you need to prepare an expansion terminal (EtherNet/IP slave terminal) and a function expansion license certificate.
Expansion terminal
The table below lists the configuration of EtherNet/IP slave terminal.
Install the EtherNet/IP slave terminal to the DIN rail for option of the robot controller. For details, refer to “Connecting method” in “I/O Options”.
