PROFINET RT Device Terminal

This section describes the device specification and installation methods of PROFINET RT device terminal which is available as an optional function for the RC9 series robot controller.

Overview

Mounting a PROFINET RT device terminal in the robot controller enables the controller to easily exchange I/O data with PROFINET-compliant network devices.

Operating Environment

To use a PROFINET RT device terminal, you need to prepare an expansion terminal (PROFINET RT device terminal) and a function expansion license certificate.

Install the PROFINET RT device terminal to the DIN rail for option of the robot controller. For details, refer to “Connecting method” in “I/O Options”.
