DeviceNet Slave Terminal
This section describes the device specification and installation methods of DeviceNet slave terminal which is available as an optional function for the RC9 series robot controller.
Overview
Mounting an DeviceNet slave terminal in the robot controller enables the controller to communicate with external devices according to the DeviceNet-compliant protocol. The robot controller may easily exchange I/O data with DeviceNet-compliant Network devices.
Operating Environment
To use a DeviceNet slave terminal, you need to prepare an expansion terminal (DeviceNet slave terminal) and a function expansion license certificate.
Expansion terminal

Install the DeviceNet slave terminal to the DIN rail for option of the robot controller. For details, refer to “Connecting method” in “I/O Options”.
