PROFIBUS slave terminal

This section describes the device specification and installation methods of PROFIBUS slave terminal which is available as an optional function for the RC9 series robot controller.

Overview

Mounting a PROFIBUS slave terminal in the robot controller enables the controller to easily exchange I/O data with PROFIBUS-DP-compliant network devices.

Operating Environment

To use a PROFIBUS slave terminal, you need to prepare an expansion terminal (PROFIBUS slave terminal) and a function expansion license certificate.

Install the PROFIBUS slave terminal to the DIN rail for option of the robot controller. For details, refer to “Connecting method” in “I/O Options”.
