Parameter Setting
To control servo motors by MC9 series, you need to apply the same setting as applied in the auxiliary axis function, which is a function of the RC9 series robot controller.
For how to specify and check the parameters, refer to "How to Configure the Auxiliary Axis Mechanism".
"How to Configure the Auxiliary Axis Mechanism" refers to an example of the configuration for the 7th and 8th axes because the section describes how to configure auxiliary axes that can be operated by the RC9 robot controller. The RC9 robot controller cannot operate a robot-controlling axis as an auxiliary axis. For a 6-axis robot, the 1st-6th axes cannot be used as auxiliary axes.
Therefore, the section describes only how to configure the 7th and 8th axes, which can be used as auxiliary axes.
The MC9 series controller can operate the 1st-8th axes as auxiliary axes. Therefore, to configure MC9 series, specify the setting for all axes that you intend to use.
