Overview

Mounting a CC-Link remote device board in the robot controller enables the controller to communicate with various CC-Link-compliant field devices of many manufacturers.

As a remote device for serial communications compliant with the open network CC-Link, the controller can easily exchange I/O data.

CC-link remote device board is compatible with CC-Link Ver.1.10 and Ver2.00. Use this board according to the network system you use. (CC-Link Ver.2.00 is available from Ver.1.8.6 or later.)

Operating Environment

To use a CC-Link remote device board, you need to prepare an expansion board (CC-Link remote device board) and a function expansion license certificate. For details, refer to "Options for Robot Controller" and "Optional Function and License".

Expansion Board

The table below lists the configuration of CC-Link remote device board.

CC-Link remote device board is installed in a PCIe slot which is one of an expansion slot in the robot controller. Mini-I/O connector kit is used as an input signal of the safety circuit.

Software License for Function Expansion

To enable the optional function on the robot controller, you need to purchase a license certificate.

  • A license certificate is sold with an expansion board as a set, or is sold individually.
  • To purchase a license, a serial number of the robot controller is required.
