Executable Token
Executable token is a safety function to permit only one device to execute robot automatic operation. Only a device with the token can perform the following operations necessary for automatic operation.
- Activating the robot program
- Turning the motor on
- Running the robot (e.g. execute motion commands by b-CAP)
Therefore, robot automatic operation requires the executable token. A device without the token cannot execute automatic operation.
Setting | Devices supported for automatic operation |
---|---|
Any | Any device
|
TP | Teach pendant and mini-pendant |
I/O | An external device (a PLC, a computer or others) that executes automatic operation through I/O |
Ethernet | An external device (a PLC, a computer or others) that executes automatic operation through a LAN |
If the executable token is set to "Any," the control of automatic operation from any device is possible. Take necessary precautions for safety (e.g., let only one device execute automatic operation at one time) when using this setting.
- The factory default is "I/O." To activate a robot program using, for example, a teach pendant, set the executable token to "TP."
- You can adjust the executable token setting with a teach pendant or a mini-pendant. For details, refer to “Displaying and Changing Executable Token Setting Screen” (for teach pendant) and "Executable Token Setting” (for mini-pendant).
