Precautions for Use
- The controller protective box is a dust- and splash-proof structure equivalent to IP54. However, it has not been designed to withstand explosions, so avoid installing the protective box in any environment where:
- there are any flammable gases or liquids,
- there are any acidic, alkaline or other corrosive gases,
- there are any large-sized inverters, high output/high frequency transmitters, large contactors, welders, or other sources of electrical noise,
- the ambient temperature is out of the range from 0°C to 40°C,
- the protective box is directly exposed to rains,
- the protective box is directly exposed to water, oil, grinding chips or shavings,
- there are any grinding or machining chips or shavings. - Clean the filter once for two weeks.
- In the event of water ingress into the controller protective box due to the sealing performance deterioration of the rubber packing, remove the drain hall screws to drain water.
- The controller protective box has no power switch, so externally turn the controller power on and off.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, observe the following precautions.
- Do not supply power from the facilities during wiring, controller connection, and controller disconnection.
- Do not open the top plate and the rear cover during energizing.
- Do not touch the inside parts within 6 minutes from the power OFF.
- Do not touch the power terminals (circled area in the image below) during other than wiring operation.
- Using voltage beyond the specified range may damage the controller protective box or reduce the lifetime.
- If an abnormal temperature is detected, check that whether the internal fan and the external fan of the controller protective box works correctly.
- Fans are installed in the backside and the inside of the controller protective box.
To avoid injury, do not insert fingers or any objects into the fans.
