Robot Unit
There are eight types of robot units as shown below.
Motor and Encoder Cables
These are cables that connect the robot unit and the robot controller.
There are two types: Motor cables and encoder cables. Depending on the robot type and cable length, select one from Motor and Encoder Cable Selection Table (PDF:60KB).
Motor Cable
Use a motor cable to connect the robot unit motor and the robot controller.
Encoder Cable
Use an encoder cable to connect the robot unit encoder and the robot controller. An encoder cable consists of three parts.

Encoder Serial Branch Cable
Sheet of Direction Indicator Labels
These are labels that indicate the motion directions of individual axes.
After installation, affix the direction indicator labels in a position on the robot unit where they can be easily seen.
Warning and Caution Labels
Collision Warning Label
Collision warning labels are provided with the robot unit. They inform users that the robot motion range is dangerous and that they should not enter it. Affix the labels in a position where they are easily seen, such as the entrance/exit of the safety fence. If required, provide a plate for affixing the labels.
Serious injury can result from contact with the robot if it is running.
Encoder Backup Battery
This is a battery for encoder backup.
The position data of the encoder contained in the servomotor is stored in the internal memory of the encoder. The backup battery for each memory retains the above data, while the power to the robot controller is turned OFF.
