Preparation for TCP Speed Output Function
This section describes the way of the board installation, license registration and board information input.
Board Installation
1
Install an analog output board manufactured by CONTEC in the robot controller.
2
Open the Device info window to check the identifier of the board, and then make a note of the identifier.
For the way of checking device information, see "Device Information Display" of "TEACH PENDANT OPERATION GUIDE".
Entering License key
To activate an analog board, enter the license key of the CONTEC AIO Board in the Open Manager window.
For license registration, refer to “Registering License” in OPTION.
For about how to obtain a license, refer to "Optional Function and License".
Board Information Input
Set the I/O parameters corresponding to the Port Numbers to be used, and then reboot the controller once the parameter setting is complete.
For about how to input I/O parameters, refer to "Displaying and Changing I/O Parameters" of "TEACH PENDANT OPERATION GUIDE".
Port Number | I/O Parameters No. | Item Name |
---|---|---|
0 | 148 | DA0 Device number |
149 | DA0 Output channel | |
150 | DA0 Output range | |
1 | 151 | DA1 Device number |
152 | DA1 Output channel | |
153 | DA1 Output range | |
2 | 154 | DA2 Device number |
155 | DA2 Output channel | |
156 | DA2 Output range |
Device number
Set the last three digits of the identifier that you have been checked.
(Example) Identifier : "AIO000" → Setting value : 0
Output channel
Set a channel number to use. (0 to (CHMAX-1)) CHMAX differs depending on the board used.
(Example1) When CH0 is used → Setting value : 0
(Example2) When CH2 is used → Setting value : 0,1
If the channel number specified is larger than the number of channels, an error will occur at the execution.
Output range
Using the table below, calculate an output range being used and then set the value.
Output range | Setting value |
---|---|
±10V | 0 |
±5V | 1 |
±2.5V | 2 |
±1.25V | 3 |
±1V | 4 |

±0.25V | 8 |
±0.125V | 9 |
±0.1V | 10 |
±0.05V | 11 |
±0.025V | 12 |
±0.0125V | 13 |
±0.01V | 14 |
0 to 10V | 50 |
0 to 5V | 51 |
0 to 4.095V | 52 |
0 to 2.5V | 53 |
0 to 1.25V | 54 |
0 to 1V | 55 |
0 to 0.5V | 56 |
0 to 0.25V | 57 |
0 to 0.1V | 58 |
0 to 0.05V | 59 |
0 to 0.025V | 60 |
0 to 0.0125V | 61 |
0 to 0.01V | 62 |
0 to 20mA | 100 |
4 to 20mA | 101 |
1 to 5V | 150 |
- The setting range differs depending on the board used. Check the manual of your analog board.
- Setting individually for each channel on the same board (device name) is not allowed.
