Overload Warning Function

Overview

When a gripper grips a workpiece, if load is continuously charged in the gripper's internal mechanism, on the bottom of the window, a warning message with yellow color (level 0 error) is displayed.

Error Code 8F2040D1
Error message The load applied to hand is large

This warning message is likely to be displayed in the following conditions.

  • A workpiece having large width is gripped and released repeatedly.
  • A workpiece consisting of soft object is gripped and released repeatedly.

This function is available in Ver.2.5.1 or higher.

Precautions

If you keeps using a robot with this warning issued, an overload error or a temperature abnormal error may occur. Try the following countermeasures.

  • Increase the gripping speed from the default setting (gripping speed: 5%).
    (For version 2.7.2 or higher, refer to "Gripping Speed Adjustment Function")
  • Finish the gripping motion when the gripping has been detected.
    (Refer to the example of HandMoveH)
  • Decrease the gripping force adjustment value.
    (For version 2.7.2 or higher, refer to "Gripper Power Adjustment Function")
  • Decrease the setting value of the gripping force.
  • If a workpiece is gripped by HandMoveA command, HandMoveR command, or HandUnChuck command, change the program so that a workpiece is gripped by a gripping motion command.
