Connection with OMRON PLC

Connecting OMRON PLC with COBOTTA through EtherCAT may require additional settings on PLC side by using Sysmac Studio.

Setting for the Sysmac Studio

On the setting item of OMRON EtherCAT Master, you will find "Wait Time for Slave Startup".
The default value is 30 seconds. Change this value to 45 seconds or higher.
Depending on the EtherCAT Slave device to connect, a longer waiting time may be required. Please set a suitable value according to the operation environment you use.

Check if the error "8350200B: Preparing for the field network communication" is not displayed at the startup of COBOTTA.

This completes the setting process.
