Cleaning Intake Port Filter

Intake port filters are located at intake side of the controller.

Clogging the filters may be subject to insufficient cooling of inside robot controller which may result in malfunction of internal electronics components due to heat.

Clog of filter may be one of the causes when power module error is displayed. Inspect and clean the filter.

Follow the procedure described below to clean the filters.

1

Turn OFF the power switch (POWER switch) of the robot controller.

2

Loosen each of a knurling screw to remove filter covers in locations of front panel.

3

Clean the filter with blowing air. Blow the air in the direction opposite to normal air flow.

Cleaning air must be de-humidified and de-oiled clean one.

Heavy stain of filter should be washed by water or lukewarm water (40 degree C or lower). Using neutral detergent may help further clean wash.

  1. Thoroughly dry the filter before assembling it.
  2. Replace the filter with new one when it does not become clean with air blow and water wash.
4

Re-assemble the filter.

Reattach the filter cover that you removed in STEP 2 to where it was.
Secure the filter cover by tightening the knurling screws.

Any clearance between the front panel and the filter cover may cause the controller to break down. To prevent this, ensure that the cover is secured without clearance.
