Contactor Contact Monitor (output)

Function

This signal outputs the status of the auxiliary contact of the motor contactor in the robot controller. (RC8 only) (Except for Safety I/O less)

For signals Contactor Contact Monitor 1a and Contactor Contact Monitor 2a, the contact output signal comes ON when the motor is turned on; it comes OFF when the motor is turned off. For signals Contactor Contact Monitor 1b and Contactor Contact Monitor 2b, the contact output signal comes OFF when the motor is turned on; it comes ON when the motor is turned off.

Usage

This signal is used to confirm the ON/OFF state of the motor on the monitor.
Refer to RC8 Mini I/O MANUAL, "[NPN type] Safety Circuit of RC8"or" [PNP type] Safety Circuit of RC8"

  • It takes 40 milliseconds from the turning-ON of the Contactor Contact Monitor 1 to the turning-ON of the Contactor Contact Monitor 2.
  • Apply at least 10 milliamperes through the contacts.
