Releasing Brakes

Release brakes to move axes while the motor is OFF during an emergency stop. Release brakes using either of the following two methods:

Releasing Brake Using a Teach Pendant

Turn on the controller power and select axes with brakes to be released in the Release Brakes screen and press [OK].

Releasing Brakes Using a Brake Release Unit

Use the axis selector switch to select axes with brakes to be released.

Press the brake release button.
