Ambient Temperature Settings on the Robot Operation

General Information

The overload threshold for the robot is determined based on the ambient temperature for robot operation, which is set to 40 ℃ by default. By changing the set temperature to the actual ambient temperature at which the robot is intended to operate, the overload threshold will be determined based on the actual ambient temperature.

For example, if the robot is to be used at an ambient temperature of less than 40℃, by changing the set temperature to that ambient temperature, the overload threshold will be automatically set to a higher value, reducing overload errors.

Target models are the series of VS-050, VS-060, VS-068 and VS-087, HSR series and HSA1 series.

Setting Method

Change No.78 [Ambient temperature] in "Configuration List".
For the operational procedure, refer to "Displaying and Setting the Configuration" of TEACH PENDANT OPERATION GUIDE.

Precautions for Use

  • This temperature setting is not for electric parts inside the controller. Even if the function is used, a power module overload, motor lock overload, or other overloads may occur.
  • If the robot is used with [Ambient temperature] set to a lower value than the actual temperature, it will not be covered by warranty.
  • The function does not become effective unless the value for the target robot is changed.
