I/O Mapping
To perform a field network communication between a robot controller and a PLC, you need to map input and output global variables.
The following shows how to map variables.
Mapping of Input Global Variable

From the ECS files, which has been added in "I/O Setting" process, double-click [Inputs All User].

Select all items.
While selecting the item on the top, pressing [Shift] and [End] keys on your keyboard will select all items.

While all items are selected, right-click on any of the selected area.
Click [Change Multi Link...].

In the [Show Variable Types] area, select [All Types].

Select a global variable to map.
While selecting a global variable on the top, pressing [Shift] and [End] keys on your keyboard will select all items (IN[0] to IN[255]).

Click [OK].
The global variables of 32 bytes from the top are mapped.

In the STEP6, 32 bytes out of 256 bytes have been mapped, map the remaining 224 bytes.
From the ECS files, double-click [Inputs Extension Area].

Select all items.
While selecting the item on the top, pressing [Shift] and [End] keys on your keyboard will select all items.

While all items are selected, right-click on any of the selected area.
Click [Change Multi Link...].

In the [Show Variable Types] area, select [All Types].

Select a global variable to map.
While selecting a global variable on the top, pressing [Shift] and [End] keys on your keyboard will select all items (IN[32] to IN[255]).

Click [OK].
The remaining global variables of 224 bytes are mapped.
This completes the mapping of input global variables.
Mapping of Output Global Variable
