How to Calculate I/O Points of User I/O

The following formula shows the maximum input/output size and the maximum number of user input/output point in field network.

Formula

Maximum number of general input points

Input size [byte] × 8 - 40

Maximum number of general output points

Output size [byte] × 8 - 32

Calculation Example

For example, if both the maximum input size and the maximum output size are set to "33" [byte], the maximum user input/output points will be the following.
Maximum number of general input points : 33 × 8 - 40 = 224
Maximum number of general output points : 33 × 8 - 32 = 232
