Tightening near the Robot Base
Tighten the jacket near the robot base with the accompanied bands.
Be sure to tighten the jacket near the robot base.
There are the following two methods to tighten the jacket, and the robot needs to be fixed to the mount depending on the purpose.
When Prioritizing the Easiness of Putting On/Taking Off
Use the accompanied 146cm band to tighten the jacket at the bottom through the loops on the jacket bottom.
This easy-tightening method saves time when the jacket needs to be put on or taken off easily such as for daily washing.
The following shows how to tighten the jacket at the bottom by fastening the tightening band (146 cm) through the loops on the jacket.
1
Put the jacket bottom tightening band (146 cm) through the four loops on the jacket and fasten the band. The band should be fastened tightly because the jacket bottom moves if the band is loose.
2
Put the accompanied 60cm jacket tightening band through the loops on the jacket and fasten the band to seal the opening for the motor & encoder cable.
When Prioritizing the Protectiveness
To prevent dust from entering from the robot base, a bottom-raising plate needs to be installed between the robot and the mount (prepared by the customer), and then the jacket and the bottom-raising plate need to be fixed with the fixing plate.
For the bottom-raising plate and fixing plate, refer to "Robot and Bottom-raising Plate".
The following shows how to fix the jacket by sandwiching the jacket and the bottom-raising plate with the fixing plate.
1
Put the fixing plate through the four loops on the jacket.
2
Fix the plate with bolts while aligning the jacket holes with the fixing plate holes.
The bolt size is as follows:- Mounting bolt size: M5x30 mm (10 bolts)
- Bolt tightening torque (recommended)
- Bolt strength class A-20-70: 3.6 Nm +/-20%
- Bolt strength class 10.8: 5.2 Nm +/-20%
3
Place the right and left of the jacket on the back of the robot on top of each other by aligning with the bolt holes.
4
Fix the fixing plate to the jacket with the bolts.
5
Put the two accompanied 60cm jacket tightening bands through the loops on the jacket and fasten the band to seal the opening for the motor & encoder cable.
