Wiring of Mini I/O Cable

This section describes the correspondence between the signal lines of the Mini I/O cable and the terminal numbers of the Mini I/O connector.

If the jacket of the Mini I/O cable is removed, you will find that each pair of signal lines are twisted together as shown below. The signal lines are color-coded.

Regarding the colors of the twisted pairs of signal lines, there is no twisted pair of same-color signal lines or there are no two pairs of the same colors (For example, there is only one pair of brown and pink).

This means that, if you know the color of a certain signal line and the color of a signal line twisted with the former, you know to which port of the Mini I/O connector the signal line is connected.

The table in "I/O Allocation" shows a pair of colors in each line.

For example, the table above shows a twisted pair of signal lines connected to Terminals No. 1 and 35 and then a twisted pair of signal lines connected to Terminals No. 2 and 36.

If you find a pair of brown and pink signal lines in the Mini I/O cable in reality, you know that these lines are connected to Terminals No. 2 and 36. You also know that "brown" is connected to Terminals No. 2 and "pink" to No.36.
