Precautions on the Use of AF Camera (N10-W02)

This section describes precautions on the use of AF Camera (N10-W02).

Precautions Before Operating

  • Adjust the white balance of the AF camera (N10-W02).
  • When turning off the AF camera (N10-W02), setting values such as focus mode, positions, exposure mode, and shutter speed are not saved but reset to the initial values.
  • To set the setting values indicated above, set them from the PacScript when the AF camera (N10-W02) is turned on.
    For details, refer to "Camera Setting Tool Users Guide."

Precautions for Use

To avoid AF camera (N10-W02) being unavailable, do not perform continuous shooting from several applications with one camera simultaneously. (Example: To perform [Search and grip] of Cobotta World and [Continuous Shot] of Camera Setting Tool (N10-W02), simultaneously.)

AF camera (N10-W02) manual written by Canon

When using AF camera (N10-W02), please read carefully both the COBOTTA manual and the AF camera (N10-W02) manual written by Canon (hereafter, AF camera manual). (Click here to open the AF camera manual. (PDF:1,197KB)).
AF camera manual introduces various operations and setting methods though, do not perform any operations other than license information check. Especially, if the IP address of AF camera (N10-W02) is changed, the communication between the camera and COBOTTA might fail. Do not change the IP address.

Recovery from accidental IP address change

In case you have changed the IP address of AF camera (N10-W02) via Web browser, do the following steps for the recovery.

Press the reset button on the AF camera (N10-W02). (Refer to AF camera manual (PDF:1,197KB)).

Press the reset button on the COBOTTA (Refer to "IP Reset Method").

With your Remote TP/Virtual TP, reconfigure the IP address of AF camera (N10-W02). For detail operation of Remote TP/Virtual TP, refer to "Displaying Vision Menu".

With your Remote TP/Virtual TP, reconfigure the IP address of COBOTTA. For detail operation of Remote TP/Virtual TP, refer to "Displaying and Changing Communication Settings Screen".

High temperature hazard during and after operation

AF camera (N10-W02) reaches high temperature during operation. Do not put your hands on the camera during and immediate after operation. If you need to touch the camera, wait until the heat is dissipated.

Handling of AF camera (N10-W02)

  • Do not apply strong force on the AF camera (N10-W02), nor hold the AF camera (N10-W02) to transport COBOTTA. Doing so, the installation position of AF camera (N10-W02) may be swerved. As a result, COBOTTA may misrecognize the position of object (such as, workpieces).
  • When the AF camera (N10-W02) is disconnected, it requires the recalibration. The customer cannot perform the calibration of AF camera (N10-W02). Please contact the service division where you have purchased the product.
