Built-in Vision is a function of COBOTTA to process images.Using Built-in Vision allows you to process images without installing other visual controllers.
To use Built-in Vision, directly connect the FA camera to COBOTTA as shown below.

Connectable FA cameras are the following.

• AF camera (N10-W02)
  For COBOTTA, an arm-mountable industrial camera manufactured by Canon, N10-W02, is available.
  Connect a FA camera to a LAN connector of COBOTTA to use.
  Power must be supplied from the PoE Hub or PoE Injector to the AF camera to use this camera.
• GigE Camera
  Connect a FA camera to a LAN connector of COBOTTA to use.
  For COBOTTA, GigE-supported area sensor cameras "ace series" manufactured by Basler are available.
  (GigE: Gigabit Ethernet)
• Network Camera
  Connect a FA camera to a LAN connector of COBOTTA to use.
  For COBOTTA, network cameras "WebView Livescope series" manufactured by Canon are available.
• USB Camera
  Connect a FA camera to a USB connector of COBOTTA to use.
  For COBOTTA, a USB camera (manufactured by IDS) that supports the following camera driver is available.
  ・uEye_4.30.00_32_WHQL (Ver.1.9.6 or higher): USB2 uEye SE,RE,ME,XS series, etc.

Wiring Instruction for Setting and Adjustment

Setting and adjustment of Built-in Vision are performed by checking the data processing and the processed image with a computer.

For AF Camera (N10-W02)

The AF camera (N10-W02) can be used attached to the arm of COBOTTA.The AF camera (N10-W02) can also be used at other positions than the tip of the arm.
In either of the connection methods, power must be supplied from the PoE Hub or PoE Injector to the AF camera (N10-W02).

Connection Method to Use Camera Attached to Arm

COBOTTA allows you to fix the AF camera (N10-W02) on the tip of the arm and connect it using the internal wiring.
Because COBOTTA equips only one Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication), you need to connect both the computer and the camera via the PoE Hub or a Hub (not PoE type) and the PoE Injector.
To use the PoE Hub, use it after setting and adjustment are completed.
To use a Hub and PoE Injector, disconnect the Hub after setting and adjustment are completed. Then, connect the Ethernet port (for end-effector communication) and the Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication) via the PoE Injector to use the camera.

Connection Method to Use Camera at Other Positions than Tip of Arm

Because COBOTTA equips only one Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication), you need to connect both the computer and the camera via the PoE Hub or a Hub (not PoE type) and the PoE Injector.

To use the PoE Hub, use it after setting and adjustment are completed.
To use a Hub and PoE Injector, disconnect the Hub after setting and adjustment are completed. Then, connect the camera via the PoE Injector to COBOTTA.

For GigE Camera and Network Camera

Cameras connectable to an Ethernet port can be connected in the following two ways:

• Connection method to use a camera on the tip of the arm
• Connection method to use a camera at other positions than the tip of the arm

Connection Method to Use Camera on Tip of Arm

COBOTTA allows you to fix a camera on the tip of the arm and connect it using the internal wiring.
Because COBOTTA equips only one Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication), you need to use a hub to connect both the computer and the camera.After setting and adjustment has completed, disconnect the hub and then connect the Ethernet port (for end-effector communication) and the Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication) to use the camera.

Connection Method to Use Camera at Other Positions than Tip of Arm

Because COBOTTA equips only one Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication), you need to use a hub to connect both the computer and the camera.After setting and adjustment has completed, disconnect the hub and then directly connect the camera to COBOTTA.

For USB Camera

Connect a computer to the Ethernet port (for COBOTTA communication) of COBOTTA.
