Installing the Flange Kit (Option)

The flange kit consists of a flange (with fixing bolt, setscrew, two M5 bolts and flange-cover), and locating key.

Installing the Flange Kit

Install the flange to the Z-axis shaft according to the following procedures. (See the figure below.)

1. Move the Z-axis shaft to near the upper end manually with the teach pendant. Then, turn the motor power OFF, and turn the controller power OFF.
2. Insert the locating key into the key way on the Z-axis shaft.
3. Wipe off the oil with ethanol from the contact-surfaces of the flange and the Z-axis shaft.
4. Insert the flange to the Z-axis shaft until that the shaft-end touches the flange-cover for positioning, and then tighten it with a setscrew.
5. Fix the flange onto the Z-axis shaft according to the fixing torque described on the table below.

6. Remove the flange-cover for positioning from the flange by unscrewing two M5 bolts.
