EtherCAT Master Board (Selective Extended Joint)
Mounting an EtherCAT master board (selective extended joint) on the robot controller enables the controller to communicate with external devices according to the EtherCAT-compliant protocol.
The robot controller may easily exchange Motion data with EtherCAT-compliant Network devices.
Operating Environment
To use a EtherCAT master board (selective extended joint), you need to prepare an expansion board (EtherCAT master board) and a function expansion license certificate. For details, refer to "Options for Robot Controller" and "Optional Function and License".
Expansion Board

EtherCAT master board (selective extended joint) is installed in a PCI slot which is one of an expansion slot in the robot controller.

Software License for Function Expansion
To enable the optional function on the robot controller, you need to purchase a license certificate. For details, refer to "Options for Robot Controller" and "Optional Function and License".
