Inching

Inching refers to moving robot slightly by a specified distance or angle each time any of the arm traverse keys is pressed in Manual mode. It is used for fine positioning. Once inching is set, it takes effect until the robot controller is turned off or it is cancelled.

When the robot controller is turned on, the default is normal speed running.

In Auto mode or Teach check mode, inching will not take effect. Even if inching is selected, switching from Manual mode to any other mode will automatically cancel inching. Switching back to Manual mode will cause the robot to switch back to inching.

Operating Procedure

This mode can be selected using the teach pendant or mini-pendant.

For the operating procedures, refer to "Displaying and Changing External Speed Setting Screen (Inching Mode)" of the TEACH PENDANT OPERATION GUIDE, or "Changing the Inching Angle and Distance" of the MINI PENDANT OPERATION GUIDE.
